Best Restaurants in Kapitolyo 2014

2014 has become our year of food trips. We've been to different provinces around the Philippines trying different local delicacies and specialties. It is also the year when we started to rediscover the dining destinations in Metro Manila. Being a Pasigueno, Kapitolyo is very close to my heart. I had so many childhood memories in this barrio. As a child, I had countless birthday celebrations at the good old Three Sisters, the pioneering restaurant in Kapitolyo. Over the years, so much has changed in Kapitolyo, so much that is has evolved to become one of the top food trip and dining destinations in Metro Manila.

Restaurants at the Mega Food Hall in SM Megamall

The owners decided to convert their property into a B&B in December 2013 and has slowly added more and more rooms. At present, they have a total of five rooms which can accommodate up to 19 guests.

New Restaurant in Baguio: FOTD Resto Cafe

FOTD Resto Cafe is a newly opened casual dining restaurant in Baguio City serving Filipino and Chinese comfort food, as well as pasta, sandwiches and coffee. It is located along Naguilian Road in Quezon Hill near the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto. FOTD stands for "Food of the Day".

New Restaurant in Baguio: Ozark Diner

Ozark Diner is a newly opened restaurant in Baguio City specializing in the cuisine of the Southern United States. Since they opened last May 2014, a lot of locals have been raving about their food. Several local radio and television stations have also featured them. So, during our visit this December, we made sure that we included Ozark Diner in our itinerary. Behind Ozark Diner are Executive Chef Kevin Mize, a native of Arkansas, and Foodlab Inc President Mr. Albert Sotelo.

New Restaurant in Baguio: Patch Cafe

Patch Cafe is a newly opened cafe serving all day breakfast, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, pastries and coffee located at the ground floor of Bloomfield Hotel along Leonard Wood Road, Baguio City. Replacing the former Cafe Sorelle, it features a more spacious and vibrant interior.  

Pellegrino's No Bake Blueberry Cheesecake

We love cheesecakes, may it be baked or no-bake cheesecake. Last November, Abbie and Erwin Cuevas sent us a lovely gift, a whole Pellegrino's No-Bake Blueberry Cheesecake. Generally, we love no-bake cheesecake because of its texture. It's not dry like its baked counterpart. No-bake cheesecake also tastes more like an ice-creamy dessert compared to baked cheesecake that is closer to being a pastry.

Baguio Bus Ticket Online Booking

Did you know that it is now possible to book a bus ticket going to Baguio online, in the same way that you would book a flight ticket through the Internet? In the old times, you would need to physically go to the bus station to purchase your bus tickets in advance. Considering the heavy traffic in the areas where most bus stations are located, buying a bus ticket is too much of a hassle.

Authentic Italian Dining at Lucia Ristorante in Makati

Lucia Ristorante is a casual dining restaurant in Makati City that features authentic Italian dishes prepared by Chef Davide Lombardi of the Center for Culinary Arts (CCA) Manila. The restaurant is situated inside Hotel Céleste, a European-inspired boutique hotel at the corner of San Lorenzo Drive and A. Arnaiz Avenue.
