Celebrate Mother's Day 2015 at SM Mall of Asia

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers out there!

Let’s celebrate this special day to thank our mothers for their love and devotion to us. And for us Filipinos, there's no better way to celebrate this very special day but with food. SM Mall of Asia houses some of the best restaurants in Metro Manila offering a variety of cuisine and catering to different taste in food and ambiance. Here are some of the restaurants you can consider:

Café Adriatico MOA
2F, North Veranda, Entertainment Section, SM Mall of Asia
Store Hours: Monday to Sunday 10:00am to 11:00pm
Contact Number: (02) 556-0608
Website: ljcrestaurants.com.ph/cafe-adriatico

If you are looking for fine dining setting to celebrate the occasion with your mom, you can visit Café Adriatico, the flagship restaurant of the LJC Restaurant Group famous for its Spanish & Mediterranean, as well as Filipino dishes.

My husband’s favorite was the Gambas al Ajillo (P 330.00). The shrimps are sautéed in olive oil and garlic, flavored with sweet paprika which made the dish reddish in color.

My favorite was the Lola Ising’s Adobo Rice (P450.00). The pork spareribs was cooked then fried, but the meat stayed tender and flavorful. The rice was blended with the adobo sauce, it has the sour taste of vinegar but not overpowering. The atsara complements the dish, so as not to leave you “umay”.

Mario's Kitchen MOA
G/F Entertainment Mall, SM Mall of Asia
Store Hours: Monday to Sunday 10:00am to 11:00pm
Contact Number: (02) 556-0556

For a casual dining setting, head on to Mario’s Kitchen specializing in Filipino and Spanish cuisine. You can try their Dynamic Duets, their version of meal combos.

Their Salpicon de Mar y Tierra (P275.00) is a generous serving of garlic rice topped with their version of gambas and beef salpicao. Be careful, its spicy!

Their Lengua con Setas with Pritong Lumpia (P220.00) is a complete meal of lengua with mushroom and olives and a serving of pritong lumpia! It was surprisingly good!

Spud Buds
G/F Entertainment Mall, SM Mall of Asia
Store Hours: Monday to Sunday 10:00am to 10:00pm
Contact Number: (02) 831-7649
Facebook: facebook.com/spudbudsph

Snack time won’t be the same when you try Spud Buds’ potato creations located near the Music Hall, below the escalator. You can choose among a variety of items such as the Ultimate Potato Skins (P120.00) which come in four variants: BBQ Chicken, Bacon and Cheese, Mexican Picadillo and Texas Chili. Personally, I go for the Bacon and Cheese since I love everything with bacon and cheese.

The Shoestring Potatoes (starts at P60.00) are just like Pik-Nik only they are freshly cooked. Try the Flavored Shoestring Potatoes (starts at P85.00) and you’ll never see potatoes like you used to. I am definitely coming back for more Spud Balls (starts at P50.00), which are potato mixed with ham and cheese then shaped into a balls. I'll decide which dip to choose since I love all three variants.

Dairy Queen MOA

Cool down with Mom with Dairy Queen’s Speculoos Blizzard, made with Lotus Biscoff Biscuit. It's simply the best way to end the hot summer day with mom at SM Mall of Asia.
