Alhamdulillah, the Holy Month of Ramadan has officially started today, June 18, 2015 here in the Philippines. Ramadan Mubarak! A Blessed Ramadan to our Muslim brothers and sisters. May Allah bestow upon you the strength as you fulfill the month-long fasting, and may Allah bless you for all your efforts.
For non-Muslims in the Philippines, Ramadan is an opportunity and the perfect time to learn about the culture of our Muslim kababayans. Ramadan is also the perfect time to visit the beautiful mosques in Mindanao, just like in 2013 & 2014 when we visited various mosques in Cotabato City and Zamboanga City, Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur and Sulu provinces. Here are some photos of the mosques we visited during Ramadan.
|Masjid Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah | Grand Mosque of Cotabato (Cotabato City)|
|Masjid Al-Salaamah (Cotabato City)|
|Blue Mosque inside the ORG Compound (Cotabato City)|
|Masjid Asma'ul Hosna | PNP Regional Mosque (Parang, Maguindanao)|
|Masjid Dimaukom | Pink Mosque (Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao)|
|Masjid Taluksangay | Taluksangay Mosque (Zamboanga City)|

Have you visited other mosques in the Philippines and you want it included on this list? Just send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with your photo of the mosque plus details of its name and location. We will add them here at the Readers' Contribution section. Thanks!
