AirAsia Unveils the “I Love ASEAN” Aircraft Livery

In celebration of the ASEAN's 50th year founding anniversary, AirAsia, the World's Best Low-Cost Airline (Skytrax 2009-2017), recently unveiled the “I Love ASEAN” aircraft livery which features native patterns and designs from the ten ASEAN member states. All AirAsia aircraft based in the region will soon bear the ASEAN emblem in addition to their respective national flags.

AirAsia holds the distinction as the only airline which services all 10 ASEAN countries. As a truly ASEAN airline, AirAsia brings the people of the region closer to each other, enables regional trade and business to flourish, and boosts tourism in the region. With the “I Love ASEAN” aircraft livery, AirAsia further strengthens the awareness of the ASEAN community identity through an ASEAN branding.

The launch was held last 14 November 2017 at the Philippine Air Force Headquarters in Villamor Air Base (Metro Manila, Philippines) and was attended by AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes, ASEAN Deputy Secretary-General Dr AKP Mochtan, and Philippine Assistant Secretary of Tourism Daniel Mercado, together with other local government officials, diplomats from the ASEAN region and officers and executives of AirAsia.
