Arabic Cuisine Buffet at Pan Pacific Manila

Pan Pacific Manila is arguably the only hotel in Metro Manila that offers authentic Middle Eastern cuisine prepared and served in an upscale dining setting. Following the successful launch of Pan Pacific Manila's Middle Eastern menu last year, the hotel is bringing this unique dining experience to another level by offering an Arabic Cuisine Buffet every first Friday and Saturday of each month at the hotel's Pacific Lounge.

Dajaj Mandi
With this new offering comes a wider selection of dishes from the Middle East, the Mediterranean, India, and North Africa, which are all prepared by no less than Pan Pacific Manila's sous chef, Chef Tarek Alsarraj. My top favorite Chicken Kabsa of Saudi Arabia now has a match, the Dajaj Mandi of Yemen. Both are made with rice, meat and a mixture of spices.

Melchoui
Another addition to the food selection is the Grilling Station featuring marinated cuts of beef, chicken, seafoods and sausages in skewers which you can have grilled a la minute. Highlight of the Grilling Station is the Melchoui, a North African dish of lamb spit-roasted on a grill. It is beautifully marinated and cooked perfectly that the meat was very fragrant, moist and super tender. This is a must try!

Being a Muslim himself, Chef Tarek guarantees that all dishes served at the Arabic Cuisine Buffet are Halal sans the Halal certification. This is ensured by preparing the dishes in a separate kitchen and using separate cooking utensils. Ingredients are also stored separately so that food items don't get in contact with Haram (non-Halal) ingredients.

Tulumba
For desserts, we were happy to have a taste of two of our favorite sweets by Chef Tarek. There's the Tulumba, which is a crunchier version of churros with a distinct Middle Eastern flavor, and then there's the best Baklava in Metro Manila. Both are best enjoyed with Turkish coffee!

And to top it all off, you get to experience this unique culinary feast while enjoying the best views of the Manila nightscape 21 floor above the ground.

In addition to the Arabic Cuisine Buffet, you can also enjoy smoking Shisha which is one of the most popular social activities in the Middle East. For only P500.00 nett per flavor, you can already have a shisha session with your friends at the gazebo area while savoring the cool breeze blowing from the bay.

So if you are looking for a different dining experience, bring your friends and family for a weekend dinner at Pan Pacific Manila. The Arabic Cuisine Buffet is available for dinner from 6:00pm to 10:00pm for only P1,200 nett per person. To reserve, you can call +63 (02) 318-0788.
