Coming from a whole day of exploring the whole island of Camiguin, you'd probably want to relax your tired body and have a long good night sleep on a big and comfortable bed. A 12-inch thick custom made American queen-size mattress was what has been waiting for us at Puesta del Sol Beach Bungalows.

Located outside downtown Mambajao and meters away from the highway, Puesta del Sol offers seclusion and tranquility ensuring a quiet and relaxing stay to its guests. The resort is perfect for couples who wish to spend quality time together or for solo travelers seeking solitude.
The air-conditioned rooms are spacious and have high ceiling. The interior is painted in a shade of orange personally selected by the owners and accented by ornaments collected by the owners during their travels. The bathroom is equally spacious and clean. Hot and cold shower is available with strong water pressure. and clean bathroom.
During a warm summer afternoon or evening, have a quick fix with a cooling dip into the resort's swimming pool, or head to the bar and treat yourself with a cold drink, or simply sit at the bench and enjoy the cool breeze from the sea and the view of Camiguin's famous White Island.
While most restaurants in Camiguin offer American and Italian cuisine, Puesta del Sol takes pride to be the only restaurant in the island that serves athentic Mexican food.

The owners, who are based in California, give a lot value in keeping the taste of their food authentically Mexican. The kitchen staff were trained to make fresh tortilla while the salsa, guacamole and other ingredients are shipped by the owners directly from the US.
Aside from Mexican food, Puesta del Sol also serve classic Filipino food. Dishes are prepared and adjusted to suit both local and foreign taste. Notice that their adobo is cooked with all pork meat and no fats. Their beef steak (or bistek) is tender and not tough. The serving size is also American which makes them big enough to be shared by two to three people.

The resort staff can also arrange for you a tour to the nearby White Island which is best to be visited during sunrise. The boat will fetch you right at the resort's dock. For breakfast, we highly recommend that you try their American style pancakes which go perfectly with their Starbucks brewed coffee.
Thank you very much, Puesta del Sol, for sponsoring our accommodation in Camiguin. Most of all, many thanks to Ma'am Mel and her staff for their hospitality.
