One-Bedroom Suite | Makati Diamond Residences
We stayed in a One-Bedroom Suite with a total floor area of 64 sqm. It has a spacious living area, a dining area with a fully-equipped kitchen, a separate bedroom and a private ensuite bathroom accessible from the bedroom and from the dining area.

The dining area has a glass top round table which can seat up to four persons. Glassware, crockery and cutlery are provided for a more comfortable ensuite dining.

All of the studios and suites have a fully-furnished kitchen complete with a dual ceramic hob convection stove and hood, an oven, an electric kettle, and a microwave oven. There's also a basin where you can wash the dishes. dishwashing sponge and gel are also provided.

Some of the complimentary items included in our stay were bottled water, chips, and TWG loose leaf teas and tea making facilities.

Being a serviced residence, our kitchen was also equipped with a refrigerator with complimentary two bottles of San Miguel Light and two bottles of soda. There's also a washer dryer where you can wash your clothes. Laundry basket and detergent powder are provided.

The living area has an L-shaped fabric corner sofa which can comfortably seat four person, great for receiving and entertaining a small group of friends. The sofa can also serve as a day bed where guests can spend lazy afternoons while cable channel surfing on the 55-inch LED TV.

The bedroom is equally spacious and is furnished with a king size bed with two side tables, a separate day bed, an executive writing desk, and a spacious closet cabinet. I particularly loved the warm earth tones of our room, from the wooden floor, to the hardwood furniture, and from the walls to the accent pieces, every detail of the room adds to the cozy and luxurious feel to the hotel experience.

I wasn't able to check the technical specifications of our bed, but it was so far the best hotel bed I ever tried. From my countless hotel staycations, I can say that I had my best sleep experience at Makati Diamond. The bed was ultra comfortable, perfectly firm to support my back, with a perfectly soft topper that adjusted to the contours of my body. The soft sheets are definitely made with fine cotton with high thread-count.

The duvet kept me warm while sleeping in our well air-conditioned room. The pillows gave enough support to my neck, keeping a good posture while sleeping. I had a long and uninterrupted sleep during our stay.

Our bedroom also has its own 55-inch LED TV with international and local cable channels. Next to it is the executive writing table where I was able to work with my laptop while connected to the complimentary WiFi Internet.

Our spacious wardrobe cabinet has plenty of wooden coat hangers. There's also an iron and board provided which is exactly what I needed for my polo and pants. The in room safe is also big enough to store my 14 inch laptop and other valuables. Two bathrobes and two pairs of bed slippers were also provided during our stay at Makati Diamond.

Our ensuite bathroom is luxuriously spacious with walls lined with marbles. The flooring is made of materials which is non-slippery even when wet. The walk-in shower features a large rectangular rain showerhead, the largest we've ever seen so far. Standing under the rain showerhead will have your whole body covered by the shower. No need to move around just to get wet. Body wash and conditioning shampoo in dispensers are provided.

Water pressure was excellent and the water temperature was easy to regulate. Below is a video showing how large the rain showerhead is and how strong the water pressure was. Our bathroom did not however have a bathtub. It is quite unconventional for a suite not to have a bathtub. It was quite a disappointment, especially when we found out that the all studio rooms at Makati Diamond have bathtubs. Nonetheless, the great shower experience was enough to compensate. If you are particular about having a bathtub in your ensuite bathroom, you can refer to the below chart as a guide:

The basin is of excellent quality. In addition to the large mirror, there is also a magnifying mirror. Weighing scale and hair dryer are also available inside the bathroom. The designer toilet seat is of solid construction and is installed with a bidet.

Here is a panorama photo of our one bedroom suite showing the dining area in the middle, the living area on the left side, the bedroom on the background and the bathroom on the right side. This photo was taken before we went out for dinner. We adjusted the lighting to create a warm and cozy ambiance.

One of the conveniences that we enjoyed at Makati Diamond was its close vicinity to countless restaurants and cafes. During that time, I was really craving for sinigang so we went to Sentro 1771 at Greenbelt 3 to have my favorite Sinigang na Corned Beef. After dinner, we spent some time at Starbucks, also at Greenbelt 3.

It was almost midnight when we went back to Makati Diamond, and turn down service has already prepared our bed. Lights inside the bedroom were also dimmed down. The bathroom was also cleaned and the walk in shower was prepared for an evening shower.

But it was still too early for us to go to bed, so went down again to buy some more chips and drinks at the nearby 7-Eleven. Back in our suite, we lounged at the living area to watch a movie while enjoying our cold drinks and munching on Cheetos and Doritos.

The following morning, we went for a quick swim at Makati Diamond's outdoor swimming pool. After a few laps, we went back to our room for a quick warm shower. Aside from the pool, there is also a gym which checked-in guests can use.

Awake and hungry, we went down for breakfast at Alfred, the all-day dining restaurant of Makati Diamond Residences. It is located on the ground floor lobby, opposite side of the reception and next to Baked, a cafe offering premium pastries and gourmet sandwiches.

Similar to the reception area, Alfred also has high ceiling with floor to ceiling glass windows that allow natural light into the restaurant. The walls are tastefully designed with panel prints of plants that optically lifts the ceiling of the space. Furniture of high quality and luxurious feel further add to the high-end dining experience.

The complimentary breakfast which came with our stay at Makati Diamond Residences includes a buffet of fresh fruits, yogurt, breads, pastries, cereals, and soups. There is also an egg station. Each guest also gets to order one (1) a la carte plated meal and unlimited serving of coffee, tea and fruit juices. Here's what we had for breakfast:
