Brazilian Grill Night at Olive Cafe, Venus Parkview Hotel (Baguio City)

Olive Cafe, the all-day dining restaurant of Venus Parkview Hotel (check room rates) in Baguio City, launched its Brazilian Grill Night last July 30, 2016 in time for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was well received by the residents of Baguio and by the hotel's guests which pushed Venus Parkview Hotel to extend this promotion indefinitely.

The Brazilian Grill Night is available for dinner every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for only P499.00 nett which is already good for sharing between two to three persons. During our recent trip to Baguio City, we stayed at Venus Parkview Hotel and we were able to sample this weekend offering of the hotel.

The package include three skewers of your choice of meat (a churrasco) with choices of Pinoy-Style Pork BBQ, Pacific Pork, Chicken Inasal, Chicken Curry, Squid, Shrimp, Herbed Beef and Beef Fajita. In addition, you can also order from their Brazilian Grill Night ala carte items such as Sausages (P99.00), Pork Ribs (P149.00), Chicken Wings (P199.00), and Angus Beef (P640.00).

The Brazilian Grill Night package also includes unlimited serving of Java Rice and Mongolian Grill, mainly consisting of vegetables freshly harvested in Baguio which are then quickly sauteed with Teriyaki Sauce or Asian Sauce.

Grilling Station
The Brazilian Grill Night experience starts by choosing your skewers and handing them to the chefs at the grilling station. You then fill a plate with your choice of vegetables for your Mongolian Grill.

As soon as they are ready, your food will be served on your table by the restaurant's staff. The skewers are placed on a metal rack while your plate of Java Rice is placed underneath the churrasco. Your Mongolian Grill will also be served together with the churrasco.

We tried the Pacific Pork, the Beef Fajitas and the Chicken Curry. The are all marinated beautifully with the flavors of the spices savored in every slice and bite of the meat. They are also perfectly grilled, tender and moist, and very easy to the bite.

Equally amazing was the Mongolian Grill thanks to the very fresh vegetables and the flavorful sauces used. We had red cabbage, young corn, jicama, broccoli and zucchini. They were very crisp to the bite, very juicy, and tasted naturally sweet.

While dining, guests will be entertained by samba music that sets the Brazilian mood in the restaurant. Guests should also look forward to the dance performance by the restaurant's staff. Dressed in samba-inspired costumes, the performers will interpret Brazilian and Latin tunes into an energetic dance.

The Brazilian Grill Night starts at 6:00pm and ends at 10:00pm. The restaurant gets full as early as 7:00pm so it is best to make prior reservation. During our visit, walk-in groups of 6-10 people kept arriving at the restaurant even until 9:00pm. For reservations, you can call (074) 442-5597 or 0977-8116782.
