Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown is a hotel strategically located within Mactan Newtown and is an ideal base for leisure travelers who wish to explore various attractions of Mactan Island. The hotel is just a 15-minute drive away from the airport.
The hotel features affordable and contemporary guestrooms with facilities that include restaurants, a swimming pool, and a gym. The hotel is also surrounded by restaurants and cafes. There is also a nearby 7-Eleven and supermarket.
They have three room categories to choose from. The Superior Deluxe Room (24 sqm) is ideal for solo travelers or couples. The Deluxe Premier Room is slightly bigger at 35 sqm and is ideal for a family with young kids.
The Junior Suite (54 sqm) is the biggest room and is recommended for a small group of friends. An additional charge will apply for a third adult occupying the room.

We stayed in a Deluxe Premier Room during our visit. It is a corner room featuring a queen bed and a spacious seating area. It is equipped with a minibar, a coffee and tea-making facility, and a smart TV with local and international channels. Complimentary Wi-Fi internet is available inside the room.
Savoy Café is the hotel's restaurant located in the lobby. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their menu includes Filipino, Asian, and Western comfort food. The restaurant also has a lobby lounge serving pastries and coffee.

Breakfast Buffet is served daily at Savoy Café. The buffet includes Filipino and Western breakfast options, egg dishes and omelets, and free-flowing drinks such as juices, brewed coffee, and tea. If your room package does not include breakfast, you can avail the breakfast buffet here for ₱550 net per person.
Your stay at Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown includes complimentary use of the swimming pool. The swimming pool has a separate section for kids. There is a poolside bar here where you can order snacks and drinks.
You also have access to the fitness center. It is open daily from 6:00am to 10:00pm so you have plenty of time to schedule your workout either before or after your organized tours.
Transportation
Airport Transfer - If you don't have a pre-arranged airport transfer, I recommend that you use the GRAB ride-hailing app. When booking a ride from the airport, make sure that you select Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown as your destination. Fare ranges between PHP300 to PHP400 depending on the type of GrabCar (4-seater or 6-seater) and the time of booking. Travel time is around 15-20 minutes.
Moving Around - I also recommend using the GRAB ride-hailing app when traveling around and between Mactan and Cebu areas.
