Seda Nuvali Hotel, Santa Rosa City



Seda Nuvali is a 150-room urban lifestyle hotel in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna province. The hotel is situated at Lakeside Evozone, the commercial and business district of Nuvali, which houses several retail outlets and restaurants. It is adjacent to the 4-hectare man-made lake which functions as water reservoir and rainwater catchment basin. A number of outdoor leisure activities can also be enjoyed at Lakeside Evozone including jogging and biking as well as a water taxi ride.

Following the success of Sandbox Alviera in Porac, Pampanga, which brought the first Roller Coaster Zipline in the Philippines, Ayala Land opens a taller and longer Roller Coaster Zipline located at Camp N in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa Laguna. It is currently the biggest Roller Coaster Zipline in Asia which is set to open today, April 16, 2016.

152nd Birth Anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal

Today, the Filipino nation celebrates the 152nd birth anniversary of the Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. Born on June 19, 1861, Rizal is the most celebrated national hero in the Philippines with a province, a number of towns, schools and streets named after him. His monuments are also found virtually all over the country and even abroad.

In line with the celebration, President Benigno S. Aquino III declared June 19, 2013, by virtue of Proclamation No. 600, as a special (non-working) holiday in the Province of Laguna to give its people the opportunity to celebrate the occasion and to participate in the ceremonies and activities in connection with the event.

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna - In celebration of Rizal Day, a public holiday in the Philippines, we traveled to Calamba in the province of Laguna to visit the 22-feet tall statue of Dr. Jose Rizal. It was on this date in 1896 when Rizal was executed in Bagumbayan, Manila but instead of visiting his monument in Luneta, we chose to visit his monument in his hometown of Calamba.

The Rizal Monument in Calamba is the tallest statue of Rizal in world, which stands in front of the Calamba City Hall, facing Mt. Makiling. The height of the statue represents the 22 languages that Rizal could speak. The monument was inaugurated on June 19, 2011 to celebrate Rizal's 150th birth anniversary.
