Indian Food Festival at Hyatt City of Dreams Manila

The Cafe at Hyatt City of Dreams Manila will be bringing the spicy and aromatic flavors of Indian Cuisine through an Indian Food Festival happening from July 17-24, 2016. Guest Chef Ajith Kumar from Hyatt Regency Gurgaon-New Delhi will be preparing some classic and regional Indian dishes during the week-long food event.

Team PinasMuna was invited by our friends from Hyatt City of Dreams to sample the authentic taste of Indian cuisine during the opening day of the Indian Food Festival last Sunday and some of the dishes we tried were Vegetable Samosa, Dal Vadai, Aloo Tikka, Vegetable Fritter, Prawn Curry with Mango, Chicken Tikka, Paneer Makhani, Black Chick Pea and Aloo Curry, Aloo Jeera, Chicken Curry and Mutton Gosh Rogan. Note that selection of dishes will vary between lunch and dinner, and the menu will also change every day.

Our top favorites are the Paneer Makhani (Indian cottage cheese in a creamy and spiced tomato sauce) and the Prawn Curry with Mango (a well balanced sweet and spicy curry) which we paired with Butter Naan (leavened bread freshly baked in a tandoor).

Here is my plate of various Indian dishes. In the middle is Chicken Biryani which is surrounded by small servings of Paneer Makhani, Prawn Curry with Mango, Mutton Gosh Rogan, Chicken Curry, and Black Chick Pea and Aloo Curry. All dishes are mildly spicy that is suited for Filipino taste but if you prefer a more spicy version, just approach any of the kitchen crew, and they will gladly customize one for you.
