Le Chef at The Manor, Camp John Hay Baguio

Le Chef at The Manor is one of the esteemed restaurants in Baguio City. Situated inside The Manor Hotel in Camp John Hay, Le Chef offers international cuisine set in a log cabin atmosphere. Last October, the Baguio City Tourism Office got us an invite at Le Chef for an afternoon merienda. Here's what the restaurant has prepared for the Baguio Food Tour 2013 blogger participants:

Penne alla Bolognese by Le Chef at The Manor
Penne alla Bolognese

We personally prefer flat pasta with Bolognese sauce but their Penne alla Bolognese was equally good. The meatiness of the sauce and the freshness of the tomato flavor really made an excellent match to the penne. The penne trap some of the sauce and meat inside them making every bite very rich in flavor.

Manor Club Sandwich by Le Chef at The Manor

If you can notice, the sandwich looks very simple. Toasted bread with layers of lettuce, ham, eggs, tomatoes and cucumber. But what makes the Manor Club Sandwich outstanding was the high quality ingredients they used, from the freshest vegetables to the premium ham slices. The sandwich was served with equally delectable fries. Definitely one of the best club sandwiches we ever tasted.

Everyone was full from the heavy lunch we had that day, but the bloggers surely loved the merienda served by Le Chef and left the restaurant with even full-er tummy! On your next visit to Baguio, do drop by Le Chef at The Manor and sample their merienda offerings. The easiest way to get to The Manor is by taking a taxi. Fare is between 60-80 pesos depending on your point of origin.

We were told by Krish of Eats in Baguio that Le Chef serves the best buffet breakfast in Baguio. We hope that we could sample their breakfast next year for Baguio Food Tour 2014 :-)

We would like to thank Le Chef at The Manor for inviting us for an afternoon merienda. It was indeed one of the highlights of our weekend blogger event in Baguio.

Le Chef is a partner restaurant of the Baguio Food Tour 2013 (BFT2013) blogger event aimed at promoting the City of Pines as a food trip destination.
