Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral in Sorsogon City



The Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral, or the Sorsogon Cathedral, is perhaps the most distinguishable landmark in the city. It is the seat of the Parish of Sts. Peter and Paul and of the Diocese of Sorsogon. The Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul is observed on June 29 of each year. On that same date, the City of Sorsogon also celebrates the annual Pili Festival which showcases the pili nut through colorful street dances, trade fairs and cooking competition using the pili nut as an ingredient.

How to Get to Sorsogon City



The fastest and most convenient way to get to Sorsogon City is by taking a flight to Legazpi City in Albay. Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines have daily flights to Legazpi from Manila. Cebu Pacific also has direct flights to Legazpi from Cebu. From Legazpi City Grand Central Terminal, take a van bound to Sorsogon City (P90.00). Land travel takes one hour. The terminal in Sorsogon City is located adjacent to the cathedral. Alternatively, there are buses bound to Sorsogon City from Cubao and Pasay City. Travel time by bus is 10-12 hours. Coming from Mindanao, there are roro buses bound to Cubao or Pasay which passes by Sorsogon City.
