Abra Miki
Abra Miki is a Filipino noodle soup dish originating from the province of Abra. It is made of thick egg noodles cooked in a rich pork broth colored with annatto seeds (atsuete). To make it extra special, Abra Miki may be served with hard-boiled egg, shredded pork meat, and bits of chicharon. It also comes with chopped scallion and vinegar with bird's eye chili on the side.

Abra Miki now available in Metro Manila
Abra Miki is a Filipino noodle soup dish made of miki noodles cooked in a rich pork broth. Its orange color comes from annatto seeds (atsuete). To make it more special and flavorful, a hard boiled egg, shredded pork and bits of chicharon are added to the soup. In contrast to the Ilocos Miki, Abra Miki's broth is not as thick as that of Ilocos Miki. Abra Miki's broth is also richer in flavor.

While on the road, a friend based in Ilocos Norte texted me asking what our plan was for the day. I told him that we are on our way to Bangued. He immediately replied and asked me, What are you going to do in Abra? If it's not that important, don't push through with it. I told him that we are just making a quick tour around the town and will be back in Vigan by lunchtime. He then said, Just stay inside car, don't get off, just drive around and keep safe.
